In the third book, Denied Love, Maggie's half-brother, Charlie Summers, finds his true identity and changes his name to Anthony Charles O'Neill, a law researcher and student about to graduate from Albany School of Law. He is the illegitimate son of Senator Charles Summer, a convicted criminal. Anthony is ready to take the bar exam and work for his family firm when he meets Reagan Adams, a PA working in the hospital where Anthony's father is being treated for a heart attack.
