After the election of Donald Trump in 2016, a president elected without winning the popular vote, our country's figurehead became a man with an affinity for racism, misogyny, homophobia, white supremacy, etc., with no regards to the cruelty that is inherent in each.
America is better than that.
And every other day came a new abomination, only to be replaced with another outrage at a rate that even the press couldn't keep up. The parallel to Hitler's rise became so stark that many felt the need to sound a clarion call.
