Deathworld is the call of a chain of technology fiction novels through American writer Harry Harrison, inclusive of the books Deathworld (first posted 1960, serialized in Astounding Science Fiction), Deathworld 2 (1964, to start with titled The Ethical Engineer and serialized in Analog) and Deathworld 3 (1968, serialized in Analog as The Horse Barbarians), plus the fast story "The Mothballed Spaceship" (1973, written as a part of a tribute to John W. Campbell). The imperative hero is a gambler who will become concerned with colonists of an exceedingly antagonistic planet.
