This tale takes us on a roller-coaster of a ride as the surreal, shadowy threads of the story gradually weave together to lead us to piece together an understanding of what is taking and has taken place. At the centre of events is Andy, whose life seems initially to be going nowhere. Over a period of days Andy experiences increasingly bizarre and incomprehensible happenings, which he is powerless to resist. During some of these he is accompanied by figures who are both strangely familiar and comforting and yet also have a sinister side. This compelling storyline has the reader anxious to turn the page so that the next turn of events can shed more light on whatever it is that is overtaking Andy's life. The thrilling conclusion sees a struggle between the dark forces at work here, with Andy's role becoming clear at last.
