Publisher's Synopsis
Mary Malone, a single and recently unemployed teacher, finds herself subletting her brother's apartment with her widowed aunt while he, a private investigator, is out of town and takes on the case at the Bar X Ranch intended for him. Despite Mary's fear of horses since four-years-old, she tackles the task head-on with the help of Aunt Zoe, and Mrs. Grimshaw, a neighbor across the hall. But, can this easy-going gal solve the crime at the Bar X Ranch with three very deceiving men lurking about before another crime is committed?
