Publisher's Synopsis
This story is set partly in West Germany as it is today and partly in the years 1945-1946, immediately following World War II. It involves the search by Sir John Hamilton, for Karin Fredl, a beautiful German girl with whom he had a love affair when he was a young Guards officer during the war.
