The days were chosen by a panel led by the late former president of Singapore, S R Nathan. Each carefully researched article is written by an experienced Singaporean or Singapore-resident writer, and looks at and covers not just the particular day itself but also the events leading up to it as well as the impact the day in question had. Days covered include: Separation from Malaysia (9 August 1965); Land Acquisition Act (26 October 1966); People's Park Complex Opens (1 October 1970); Stop at Two campaign (20 July 1972); NEWater is launched (9 August 2002); Singapore's SARS outbreak (1 March 2003); and Lee Kuan Yew dies (23 March 2015).
