Laylan is finally home, though it isn't quite home, anymore. She has changed but so has Cion. With the help of Cion, questions are answered and new revelations are revealed but with knowledge comes more questions. Old loves are realized, older truths are raised, curses are broken and new allies are met, as the Champion's army begins to grow. The arrival of the prophetical child nears and the group returns to the Mortal World, even more concerns arise. The loss of Josh has been locked away and Abby realizes that she must let him go in order to be able to move on, but letting go means facing the grim facts of immortality. While Abby copes with her own emotions, Veda comes face to face with an old nemesis and a new battle to fight, for the safety of her new family and the future of the universe.
