Publisher's Synopsis

The story tells the life of David Copperfield from childhood to maturity. Six months after his father died, David was born in Blunderstone, Suffolk, England. David (David) was relatively happy in his early years with his caring, naive mother and kind housekeeper Clara Peggotty. They called him David. When he was seven years old, his mother married Edward Murdstone (Edward Murdstone). To get him out of trouble, David was sent to live with the Peggotty family in Jacobs (Pargotty). Her brother, the fisherman Mr. Peggotty, lives in a beach barge with his adopted relatives Emily and Ham and an elderly widow Gummidge. Her lovely adoptive father is a little bit fond of "Little Emma", and David falls in love with her. They called him Master Copperfield. After David returned to his country, there were good reasons not to like his stepfather. The stepfather only believes in firmness, and has similar feelings for Jane, Midstone's sister.
