Publisher's Synopsis

Daughter of the Sandhills is a collection of poetry depicting pioneer life on a ranch in western Nebraska's Sandhills. A. Louise Hill and her family lived this life. This collection has preserved a way of life that will soon be forgotten, such as cooking and heating with fuel from cow chips, outdoor toilets, snipe hunting, and one-room schoolhouses.

Read Daughter of the Sandhills to appreciate this quaint lifestyle and gain respect for the pioneer life with its tears, hard work, fun, and laughter.
