This book is about a cow named Dash who escapes the farm and sets off to find some friends to play with. She loves Farmer Arnold and her home, but wants to see all the other places the world has to offer. She meets new friends including Burney the Pig, Bobby the Cat, Freddy the Fox, and even Goose the Dog tags along. She plays hide and seek, laughs and dances, but then returns home. Dash knows that home is the best place under the sun. She cherishes the fields of gold and her cozy barn. When she gets home, Farmer Arnold hugs her and feels proud. Farmer Arnold knows that Dash is old enough to find new adventures and he is happy she knows the importance of coming home.
