Excerpt from Das Stadt-und das Landrechtsbuch Ruprechts von Freising: Nach Fünf Münchner Handschriften; Ein Beitrag zur Geschichte des Schwabenspiegels
Die Geschichte Unsews Rechtsbuches ist nam lich, um es hier einstweilen nur kurz anzudeuten, im Grunde nichts Anderes, als eine Geschichte des sogenannten Sehwabenspiegels im ehemaligen Stifte Freysing. So wie in anderen Th'eilen von Bayern so ward nämlich sehr früh auch schon in Freysing dieses Rechtsbuch recipirt. Der Fur spreche Ruprecht bearbeitete dasselbe für die Stadt Freysing und sehr wahrscheinlich auch für das Land. Beide Rechtsbücher, das Stadt 'und das Landrechtsbuch waren anfangs getrennt und bestanden neben einander. Später wurden sie je doch verbunden und zuletzt vollends zu Einem Ganzen verschmolzen.
