Publisher's Synopsis

Lora is a young physicist working to advance the achievements of her friend and retired famous professor Dr. Shim, her predecessor at the quantum lab she now leads. The doctor left behind a machine that has the potential to change the world forever. Before it does, Lora is given a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the doctor's theories and explore some of the more exotic possibilities offered by his machine.

As a result of a previous publicity nightmare, her research is kept quiet until she has presentable results. But when Lora meets an oddly dressed stranger who knows a lot more about her project than he should, her world is slowly turned upside down. Why is this visitor looking for her help? And how is he so familiar with her work?

Meanwhile the city is kept relatively safe by locally accepted, self-proclaimed superhero Dart. With carefully calculated risk to his own wellbeing, he roams the city in search of people in distress. He uses his uncanny talent to find trouble and insert himself into it. This superpower, if it qualifies as such, combines rather poorly with his inflated ego and remarkable flawed personality, frequently challenging the distinction between finding and causing trouble.
