Publisher's Synopsis
This work describes each stage of the project design of the Jewish museum extension to the Berlin museum by the architect Daniel Libeskind. The museum shows the social, political and artistic history of Berlin from 1870 to the present, integrating it with Jewish history across the abyss of the holocaust.;The museum has been designed to show the displacement of the Jewish spirit in physical voids which cut, fragment and splinter the building complex, breaking it into pieces in order to make it more accessible, both spiritually and functionally.
