The "Cut, Paste and Surf!" series provides an innovative range of ICT activities that enable Key Stage 3 and GCSE geography students to develop their core ICT skills in a subject context. Using the relevant student textbook and CD-ROM resources in tandem, students of all abilities not only reinforce their subject learning through this medium but also develop their ICT skills. Easy to set up and easy to use, "Cut, Paste and Surf!" is a straightforward solution to integrating ICT into subject schemes of work and developing ICT skills in a subject context.;Activities and instructions in the student book are used in tandem with templates and resources on the CD-ROM. Exercises cover ICT skills and subject themes specified in the National Curriculum. Simple point-and-click operation and extensive teacher notes on the CD-ROM make the exercises easy to access and easy to use. Data, text and images from the CD-ROM can be transferred easily onto the school network or individual computers, thereby allowing whole class teaching or small group work using the exercises and instructions from the textbook. The ICT exercises are designed to use standard Office software including Word, Excel, Paint, PowerPoint, Publisher and the Internet. The CD-ROM will run best on a PC using Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, Me or XP operating systems. The licence for the CD-ROM allows the software to be fully networked within the purchasing institution.
