Publisher's Synopsis
In this issue of "Current Therapy of Trauma", the editors and their colleagues at the San Francisco General Hospital Trauma Center write much of the text themselves, but have also accepted contributions from experts at other principal trauma centres. The focus of the book throughout is on treatment methods, both medical and surgical. New topics covered include triage, extrication of the victim, fluid resuscitation, pneumatic antishock garment, antibiotic usage, spinal cord injury, and peripheral nerve trauma. 15 additional chapters are included on torso trauma, more than double the coverage provided by the first issue.
