In gratitude for saving their family, the Wallis family gifts Filippo Cudoni fifteen hundred acres of land near Greensburg. Hidden in a cave on the mountain, Cudoni discovers a fortune in gold-more than he could have ever imagined. With newfound wealth, he brings his family from Italy to America. But his happiness is short-lived. The Catholic bishop of Manhattan conspires with the Camorra to steal the gold, and in their ruthless plot, they kill his wife.
Though Cudoni knows his wife is forever gone, he learns the identities of her murderers and vows to hunt them down.
