Ctfa List of Japanese Cosmetic Ingredients

Expanded and improved since the last edition (1997), the new fourth edition has more than 150 changes, including new ingredients, additional categories of use, and name changes. It makes available to formulators and marketers hundreds of previously unknown, unfamiliar, or unpublished Japanese-approved cosmetic ingredients.;This work contains all ingredients published as approved for cosmetic use in Japan, cross-referenced by International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient (INCI) names and CAS Registry Numbers from the CTFA International Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary and Handbook database. It cross-references all US and European Union (EU) INCI names found in the Dictionary and Handbook. The work also modifies previous name assignments to reflect the changes in both Japanese and INCI names since the third edition of the List was published in 1997. References include the 6-digit Japanese ingredient code required for product licensing as well as the permitted categories of use and any relevant concentration limits. It updates this information to include Japanese Comprehensive Licensing Standards (CLS) of Cosmetics by category.
