Publisher's Synopsis
Twelve-year-old Ethan Grimley III was chosen to carry the Harpe of Gaia. Now, he must leave his home in Land's End in the country of Moirena and travel to Ymla in Corleon, where the Shadow Walkers reside. There he will attend school and learn what it means to be a Shadow Walker. Before Ethan can settle in to his new life, the guild hall is attacked. No one knows who's attacking or why, but Ethan and his new friends aren't going to sit around and wait for the adults to tell them what's going on. Instead, they take to the streets of Ymla to find out who is threatening their home. When one of their own is kidnapped, Ethan disregards the warnings of Barnabas Merriweather, leader of the Shadow Walkers, and goes out to find her. He's not sure what he's doing or how to use his new powers, but he doesn't let that stop him from doing what he thinks is right.
