Publisher's Synopsis
It is August of 1899 and the small, rural mountain town of Crooked Pine, Colorado is being terrorized by a blood thirsty creature. At their wits end, the sheriff has called for help from the notorious Wulfe family, who's ancestry of hunters of the supernatural allegedly trace all the way back to Beowulf himself. However, the youngest hunter in the family, the still green Elizabeth Wulfe, is the only one available to answer the call. But when Uzoamaka Freeman, the only survivor of the massacred homesteads, approaches Elizabeth Wulfe, determined to strike any bargain that will allow her to avenge her slain family, it seems not all hope is lost. Will the two young women be able to hunt down the creature and stop it before it kills again?
