US Army Special Forces operator, Corporal Bill Barton forms an unlikely bond with the team's Afghani guide, Ahmad Khali. Their intense, but short weeks together, lead to open conversations on contrasting culture, society and religion, until tragedy befalls both young men, drastically altering their paths in life, until they intersect once again in Ankara, Turkey during an assassination attempt on a high profile religious leader.
