This book provides a practical guide for arbitrators (primarily non–lawyers) and parties to arbitration and has been substantially revised to take account of the Arbitration Act 1996, dealing in detail with the way the new Act has redefined the arbitrator′s role. The new edition also features the new arbitration rules produced by CIMAR, which are expected to be adopted by the JCT, and considers the relationship of arbitration to adjudication. It discusses revised clauses on arbitration to the main building contracts.
