This publication reports work done under Regional Research Project 8 - 69, Engineering Systems for Cotton Production, a joint effort of the Agricultural Research Service, us. Department of Agriculture, and the State agricultural experiment stations of Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Ten hessee, and Texas. The State experiment station research was supported in part by allotments from the Regional Research Fund established by the Hatch Act, as amended August 11, 1955, and administered by the Coopera tive State Research Service, us. Department of Agriculture.
