Community Health Nurses (CHNs) are the basic unit of the health and Family Welfare Programmes, at all levels of Health Care Delivery System. In India, ANMs are holding the role and responsibilities of the community health nurse. So it is necessary that, the ANMs, should have adequate knowledge and competencies to provide comprehensive, promotive and preventive health services to the individual, family and community in both rural and urban areas without any discrimination and negligence.
