Publisher's Synopsis
"Compare the Numbers" is a math-inspired picture book for 3-6 year olds, illustrated by Mitsuya Anno, a Japanese picture book master and winner of the International Hans Christian Andersen Award. The leaves of figs are very similar to the shape of a hand, and the number of fingers of a hand, is 5; the number of stars in Cassiopeia is also the same as 5. So, how many feet does a unicorn have? What about the feet of a crab? Compare the numbers of each, who has more? Who has more and who has less? This book is a "counting book", but instead of teaching boring 1234, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, it guides children to reach out and look at the numbers in a row, learning numbers and mathematical concepts in the most intuitive way.
