There was a time, before computers and the internet, that kids would seemingly spend entire summers by the community pool and swimming. In many ways, the community swimming pools of Lebanon County have stayed true to that tradition. In other ways, they haven't. While some local pools have continued to flourish, many have closed their gates for good. The physical benefits of swimming are undeniable, but the emotional and mental benefits are much more subtle. Times, they definitely are a changing. But a community might just be as strong as its pool.
