Andrew Wilden is a lonely teenager raised in his family's video store and home schooled on a strict curriculum of VHS tapes and DVD movies. When his mother leaves and his father is hospitalized, Andrew is suddenly thrust into the complicated halls of a modern High School. Everything he knows about the world is through watching films, so he resorts to his comfort zone - using only lines from 80's teen movies like PRETTY IN PINK, BREAKFAST CLUB and FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF to fit in. The Plastics. The Jocks. The Basket cases. The Nerds. Andrew wants to experience everything. Maybe even make one or two friendships that will matter and last.
