Anzalone has been arrested, hit by a car, and held hostage at gunpoint. He was the lead singer of a heavy metal band in the '80s, the guitarist of a punk band in the '90s, and is a member of a well-known disco band that has sold more than 100 million records. He played bingo with Cher in Des Moines and he was pointedly rude to Pink at a party in Sydney. I'm really sorry, Pink...I was drunk. He's been a superhero and a '70s icon, but he's never written a novel - if you don't count this one.
