Dorie is a young girl growing up in a small town on the Canadian prairies. From childhood she faced struggles with friends and family, but with the love and the values that she was surrounded with, nothing was too hard to overcome. Whether it's the popular girl at school or her brother being injured in an accident, Dorie had the support and was surrounded by everything she needed to become a wonderful and sucessful woman. The friends that she made and the perseverance she showed strengthened her skills in school and in life as she moved through grade school and directed her attention to her post secondary education regardless of what was happening around her.
