An anthology of poetry and prose written by Joseph Patella from his freshman year in high school, all the way up to his freshman year of university. In "Closer Contact," Joseph explores themes of love, life, loss, coming of age, and many more. Joseph's book is heavily inspired by poets like TS Eliot, Pablo Neruda, and Dante, authors like Kurt Vonnegut and Ray Bradbury, along with many others. "Closer Contact" is split into four distinct parts. 1) Datta: Dealing with themes of giving and losing 2) Dayadhvam: Dealing with themes of love and heartbreak 3) Damyata: Dealing with personal struggles and self control 4) Santih Santih Santih: Dealing with trying to come to terms with the world around us
