Just as Annabel and Bogart let themselves believe that they might get enjoy a happily-forever-after fairytale with each other, a mysterious organization sets them up for a nasty surprise. It then recruits them into its conspiracy. They can only wonder whether they are truly serving the cause of the good guys. Annabel's assignment demands she submerge herself into a role that leads her ever farther away from her hopes and dreams. The longer that she plays it, the more she becomes Sheila Grady--a woman that she despises. But she cannot help but continue devolving into the vamp that she has been programmed to become. As her role swallows more and more of her, Bogart's role leads him to become involved with a nutty lady called Shiloh, who works as a stripper and a call girl. But there is much more to her than seems obvious. His mandate, like that of Annabel, requires him to do things that he loathes in order to hunt and attempt to infiltrate a network of high-ranking traitors and moles. Meanwhile, as enemies unrelated to his mission seek to eliminate him, Annabel becomes involved with a thug named Logan. Like Shiloh, there is much more to Logan than seems obvious. He is unsure what to think about Sheila Grady, whom he knows is Annabel, the wife of his buddy, Bogart. But he keeps playing along with her, anyway, while tending to his own problems. Together, he and Sheila establish a fledgeling syndicate as well as an investment company to serve as its cover. Their activities fail to escape the notice of Dorion-a dynamic fellow cultivating many secrets. His intentions seem friendly in regard to Logan, Sheila, and Bogart. He even allows the latter to turn his wife into a sex toy. Perhaps, that is because he hopes to turn Annabel/Sheila into his love-slave. Nevertheless, he invests in Bogart's business ventures, while cheering the efforts of Logan and Sheila to become big players in the commericial and underworld dynamics of the Zerogda area. That seems stranges since they are on a path to become his rivals....
