Publisher's Synopsis
While most people are aware of the high incidence of Alzheimer's disease, few realize how many cases affect people below the age of 65. At present there is no specific treatment for the neurodegeneration of Alzheimer's disease; however, new drugs are being developed to ameliorate some of the neurotransmitter deficits arising from neuronal degeneration. This work comprises contributions on these and other issues, from leading specialists on this disease.
