The book looks at global patterns and climate mechanisms and compares and contrasts climates of the British Isles, Europe and MEditerranean Europe. Particular attention is padi to studying microclimates and investigating climate hazards and the effects these have on society, including the recent floods in Mozambique and famine in Africa.
