Publisher's Synopsis

Triple bill of classic Westerns. Marlon Brando directs and stars in 'One-Eyed Jacks' (1961), a western tale of betrayal and revenge. Brando stars as Johnny Rio, a man betrayed by his best friend, Dad (Karl Malden), and sentenced to serve five years in prison. On his release he seeks out his nemesis (now Sheriff of Monterey) and seduces his step-daughter, leading the Sheriff to throw him back into prison. His ire now stoked even more, Johnny seeks out Dad for the final showdown. Burt Lancaster stars in 'Vengeance Valley' (1950) as Owen Daybright, who has always taken the rap for his friend Lee Strobie (Robert Walker)'s misdemeanours. Owen now works as foreman on Strobie's ranch, and continues to take the blame for his friend's wrongs - even accepting paternity for Strobie's illegitimate child - in order to protect Strobie's wife, Jan (Joanne Dru). However, when Owen learns that Strobie plans to make off with his father's cattle, he finally decides that enough is enough. John Wayne stars in 'Angel and the Badman' (1946) as Quart Evans, ex-deputy sheriff of Wyatt Earp and now a rough and ready gunslinger. After being injured in a shoot-out, Evans is taken in and nursed by a Quaker family. He finds himself falling for the daughter (Gail Russell), and attempts to give up gunslinging. However, a determination to bring a group of murderers to justice threatens his new-found peace of mind.
