Publisher's Synopsis

Triple pack of classic tales of the massive monkey. 'King Kong' (1933) is the original tale of the simian juggernaut. Film director Carl Denham (Robert Armstrong) and actress Ann Darrow (Fay Wray) arrive on a prehistoric island in the hope of capturing a giant ape, worshipped as a god by the local inhabitants. The mighty Kong shows his sensitive side by falling for Ann, and, after his transportation to New York, rampages across the city in search of his new love. 'King Kong Escapes' (1967) is the fantastical Japanese sequel featuring the mighty Kong. A team of scientists have built a mechanical version of Kong in order to extract a radioactive element at the Earth's core. When the robot Kong fails in its mission, the scientists decide to capture the real thing, but events spiral rapidly out of control when Kong escapes, resulting in a city-destroying showdown between King Kong and Mechani-Kong. 'King Kong vs Godzilla' (1962) is another Japanese sci-fi adventure, this one featuring a clash of the cinematic titans, as King Kong and Godzilla square off for a monster showdown. At the same time as a pharmaceutical company manager undertakes an expedition in search of the mystical berries that confer gigantic size on the legendary Kong, a team of American pilots have discovered the frozen tomb of the fearsome Godzilla. When they thaw him out, the stage is set for a titanic battle between the two oversize creatures.
