Author Michael Mayhew (with help from his friend Joshua Mertz) created this funny, spooky Trick-or-Treat tale when his daughter asked him to write a story for her. He tried to include everything that he knew she liked: laughs, suspense, best friends, girls having adventures, Secret Magical Powers, and a little bit of gross stuff. It's about how the Worst Halloween in History suddenly becomes the Best Halloween Ever when an eight-year-old girl named Clarice discovers that she has magical powers. Clarice and her best friend June have a wild night of Trick-or-Treating. But things turn creepy when something sinister and hungry begins to follow them!
