Alice Longstreet, a young woman in college, returns to the world of Aleaha for the second time. This time very much aware of what she is getting into. She is a Wayfarer here, in Aleaha, and again she must call on her training as an engineer, her strength as a young woman, and above all, her ability as a leader.Her travels from the country of Carlsea in Aleaha to other lands with her circle of friends will quickly take up the year she will remain here this time. Her adventures resume almost immediately, and she finds herself on a trip to Faerie Mountain with Amber Sevan, searching for someone who may be as mythical as he or she is real. They are challenged by three ruffians looking for some "fun with the girls", meet a dragon who both tricks and helps them, and a strange elf with some unique seductive powers.Alice helps Eric out of a bad situation, refusing to give up when all looks lost, helps her friend Rayna deal with issues, and meets another lonely Wayfarer, Greg Brown, who has come to Aleaha for the first time, and finds he is a wizard, the most powerful one anyone has seen in generations, with no clue as how to use magic at all. Alice leads her team to victory in the University's annual competition, and her circle of friends grows ever larger.
