Excerpt:
Will leaned over and whispered in Samantha's ear, "What are you so afraid of?"
In his eyes, she saw he was genuinely curious. The truth was out of the question. The reason she was afraid of him, that he could discover her guilty secret and take her son away. Her carefully constructed life could disappear all at once if he learned too much. After an additional investigation last night, she had discovered that he was ex-military, a former CIA agent, and had been looking for his brother for eleven years.
"I don't think you could handle me," she whispered seductively in his ear.
As curiosity gave way to confusion, Samantha slipped past him and into the kitchen. Will recovered quickly enough from the surprise and chased after her.
"If that was a challenge, I'm happy to take it," he said back to his arrogant self.
She looked carelessly over her shoulder as she took the cookies out of the oven and asked, "Shouldn't you go to the opening of your sports club?"
"Snow day," Will said, shrugging his shoulders. "I can't fight against the elements."
"What are you going to do today?"
"Taking on a challenge with a damn sexy woman," he said with a hungry look.
With a glance down Samantha saw his reaction to her challenge. "Oh, and who is that?"
As she put the cookies down and put a new platter in the oven, he was suddenly very close behind her.
"I think you know who I mean," he said in a seductive tone.
"And who says I'm interested?" asked Samantha, almost indifferently. "It's not because you attacked me at a weak moment yesterday that I'm interested in you."
"Oh, I believe that if I slipped my hand into that sexy nothingness, you call panties, I would find my answer," he said, taking another step closer so that they were almost against each other. Her body betrayed her and with his words, she felt her panties get wet.
He gently nibbled on her neck and whispered, "I also think that if I let my hands slide under your top. I would find two very willing breasts with hard nipples that I want to suck."
She swallowed and looked into his dark eyes. In a hoarse voice, Samantha said, "Oh, yeah?" He nodded and licked his lips. "And what would you do if you found all those things?"
Will growled. "Oh, the things I would do to you... I would start by finishing what I started yesterday."
"What is that?" she asked with wide eyes as he put his hands on her hips.
"Making you moan my name while you come," he growled in her ear before covering her mouth with his.
