Publisher's Synopsis
The author is concerned that modern lifestyles have become dominated by commercialisation and consumerism, and that this has tended to obscure the teachings of the Gospel and influence some Christians into believing that material wealth is the most important thing in life. But we should never forget that Jesus Christ must be the centre of our world and at the heart of everything we do. As we live each day as believers, we should constantly be aware that our life on earth is 'as delicate as morning dew' and we must never forget the need to glorify our Lord and God, to resist strongly our desire for material possessions and to live by his word, commandments and statutes, however strong the temptation and however busy our lives are.
