Because of its beautiful beaches and abundant orchards, this island's reputation became much larger than its actual size. Thus begins the first of three parables in which Mayor Saved Soul of Christian Island learns how to overcome pride, gossip, and discontentment. The setting is on Christian Island, a tranquil place where the Mayor serves under the care and authority of the great King.
