In the icy grip of a Minnesota winter, Shay O'Hanlon can't wait to close up her coffee shop and head out of town for a romantic getaway with her partner, Minneapolis detective JT Bordeaux. But an unexpected call shatters their plans-Shay's father has vanished. Initially dismissing it as another one of his periodic benders, Shay's concern mounts when she discovers his gun has been linked to a homicide. The victim, discovered encased within a massive block of ice, provides more questions than answers.
Now, Shay, alongside JT and their eccentric allies, launches into a desperate search to find her father and unearth the true culprit-racing against time as the trail turns cold and the clues begin to freeze over.
