Publisher's Synopsis
"China Journal" is a collection of letters and journals written by a missionary family in China 100 years ago. Eva Price and her husband and children went to China in 1889. The letters that they wrote describe the Chinese customs and tell of their mission to convert the heathen and their struggle to live a relatively Western life in primitive circumstances. Even after two of the Price children die of disease, the family stays on, committed to spreading the message of Chirstianity, but the story ends tragically during the Boxer Rebellion.
