Publisher's Synopsis

Within this book you will read about my adventures in growing up, as well as those of my children.
During my childhood, children earned extra money by seeking out a neighbor in need, or perhaps a local business, or a farmer, and before they knew it, they were weeding bean fields, picking rocks, mowing lawns, carrying out groceries, or even washing cars. When creating fun, children had the opportunity to be such things as cowboys, ballerinas, to go to the river or lake and go fishing, to have fun roller skating on sidewalks, or even to play hide and seek, all in one day of play. Imagination was unlimited in what a child could do when living and growing up in a small river town. When watching my children as they grew up, I saw it as a chance for me to be their teacher, but also to learn from them as well. As an adult, for myself at times, I had to leave my parent hat at home in order to be a part of my children's lives. While in this process of learning, my children reminded me about imagination, carefree play, and that of remembering the innocence of what it was like to be a child once again.

I hope these stories bring wonderful memories from your childhood, as well as the comfort in knowing that, we as adults can become the best part of who we are when seeing ourselves through the eyes of our children.
