Twelve-year-old Frankie is a chess genius. However, a rare aging disease gives him only a year left to live. Chess competition would kill him even sooner. So he celebrates his final days by partying in his grandpa's mansion with gorgeous genetically-engineered rat girls. Life is good! Until he goes to the hospital to breathe his last. His mentor Dr. Barrigan races to develop a stem cell treatment to cure him. If successful, Frankie may face super computer Bette Davis Eyes and vie for the world chess title. Chess Genius is a sci-fi fantasy that explores growing up and dying at the same time.
