Publisher's Synopsis

Cheryl Fields, a student who learned early on that the secret world of Greek sororities and fraternities is a mystical, wonderful and sometimes deadly source of family. Cheryl falls in love with Mike Johnson as she helps him pledge a fraternity during Cheryl's freshman year. Cheryl takes up the charge and joins one of the largest Black Greek sororities in the country. Their happiness is shattered when Mike's fraternity has to take the fall for being caught hazing pledges. Cheryl and Mike are hit hardest. Their senior year, Cheryl notices a young man. He has something, a regal quality. Cheryl becomes more and more able to fill the void left by her absent father with the stories this young man tells of a heavenly father who sees women not as hoes, playthings or something to be tossed aside once a man has his pride fulfilled. Cheryl and her girls have had enough of that. The young man convinces Cheryl God sees her and her sisters as queens. When this young man leads Cheryl to the Lord and decides to pledge Mike's fraternity, known by the campus chapters nickname, "The Beast of the East," Cheryl has to keep her two loves apart. Cheryl's Song stirs the faith in God that reminds all of the Father's heart towards his daughters whom he dearly loves. Members of historic Black Greek-letter organizations such as Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, and others will be restored to the days of pledging and becoming part of international sister and brotherhoods.
