You are home now, just where you belong," she said, shuffling inside. My heart was broken. How far this was from what I had imagined. Krister took my arm tenderly and led me inside. What on earth was I going to do? I was a city girl, penniless, thanks to my husband. "Oh God, if you are truly up there, I need a miracle," I whispered. And I had never meant it more.
