Charity Junction, based on the of the author's mother, is the continuing series about the life of Miss Ebbie Catherine Sullivan, a young girl growing up during The Great Depression in the southern Alabama town of Charity Junction. Miss Ebbie Catherine writes letters to the world from either her front porch swing or her feather bed, her little hound dog Blue at her side. She writes about life with her mother, a mail order bride and her father a shoemaker from up north, her adventures with Blue and her ever changing world amidst war, poverty and many injustices during her era. The first book in the series begins at age twelve.
