Publisher's Synopsis

Double bill of films starring Angelina Jolie. Directed by Clint Eastwood, 'Changeling' (2008) is a drama based on true events that took place in 1920s California. Jolie stars as Christine Collins, a mother who thinks her prayers have been answered when her kidnapped nine-year-old son is returned to her. However, she quickly realises that the boy with whom she has been reunited is not in fact her son. She must now face a corrupt police force and a seemingly immovable legal system to continue the fight to find her own son. Slandered by the press as unstable and delusional, she eventually finds an ally in activist Reverend Briegleb (John Malkovich), who helps her take on the authorities in an effort to get to the truth of her son's disappearance. 'Girl, Interruped' (1999) is set in New England in the 1960s. 17-year-old Susanna (Winona Ryder) is diagnosed as suffering a borderline personality disorder and sent to Claymore psychiatric hospital. Once there, she rejects the treatment of psychiatrist Dr Wick (Vanessa Redgrave) and nurse Valerie (Whoopi Goldberg), turning instead to her fellow inmates - the disruptive Lisa (Jolie), compulsive liar Georgina (Clea DuVall), and spoilt rich girl Daisy (Brittany Murphy), who suffers from an eating disorder.
