Publisher's Synopsis
Chandrayaan is an Indian lunar mission that consists of a lunar orbiter and a lunar lander. The primary objective of the mission is to explore the lunar south pole and conduct scientific investigations of the moon's surface and atmosphere. The Chandrayaan orbiter carries eight scientific instruments, including a high-resolution camera, spectrometers, and radar systems. These instruments will collect data on the moon's surface, mineral composition, and subsurface structure. The orbiter will also study the moon's atmosphere and measure the solar wind. The lander, called Vikram, carries a small rover called Pragyan. Both the lander and rover are equipped with scientific instruments to study the lunar surface. The rover will move around the landing site and collect data on the lunar terrain, rock formations, and mineral composition.
