Catherine an alien beauty conspires to undo the reign of Minutiae, fugitive and demon from the depths of darkness. The demon thus descends, linking into the king's medieval world to dethrone him and place upon the throne his creatures, the Inguanid Monks. But to aid the king there is Brother Barnubus, a fervent monk of Lasterne' Abby; Ocelots a witch of profound insight and powers; Catherine and countless others ready to battle the demon and its alien creatures, together with its ominous bodiless Spaledling and robotic soldiers. But his allies only submit to his iron will hoping to gain prize: a share in the demon's treasure, the guerdon. But unbeknownst to them, there is other event and unexpected mystery to bring havoc to Minutiae's schemes!
